June 14th, 2009 by Winston No Comments Finally over, the hosting I was on fsckvps.com was hacked by some idiot hackers through HyperVM exploit, the hackers gain into root access and did the ultimate command at the / prompt, rm -rf , guess what, he wiped out the whole system of 40+ servers, about 100,000 websites !!
being an unmanaged vps, you need to have your backup solution, the best is offsite backup, people take things for granted, some servers were afffected with the whole data lost. It [...]
